later when i picked kate up from soccer and ben from skateboarding we grabbed some ice cream and raced out to catch the sunset..

as we stood admiring i said to the kids, “just think.. God put that there just for you!”

and if you look close, you can still see the brush strokes!! :)
what an amazing artist He is.

  • Beautiful; you, Reese, the sand, the sun, sunset……….what a fabulous day!

  • Beautiful sunset pictures!! Sounds like a lovely afternoon you had with your baby girl. Have a wonderful weekend Amber. ♥

  • Seriously, the best sort of days. I breathed in every sight, every word, every bit of loved that oozed out. Thank you.

  • oh, i really need to go to the beach more. lake erie is only an hour away- but i’ve never gone by myself and it seems so far since i’m not familiar with the area!

i am so loving the warm weather. the other night i stepped outside at dusk with no jacket of any kind and flip flops on my feet, and it kind of shocked me again that i didn’t.get.cold! it’s been so cold, for so long!

  • Don’t you just know that God smiles everytime we slow down enough to enjoy what He created for us?!?
Sure wish i would remember to do that more often
Can’t believe how big your little one is getting…it happens so quickly!
    Blessings to you!

  • So incredible. Love it

  • What a gorgeous sunset!! It looks like a perfect ending to an amazing day.

  • good for you! love it! you’re making me really want some beach sun and sand ;)

  • @chambray7 - well, come visit me!! ;) ) you wouldn’t think of canada as the place to go for sun and surf but our little spot is near perfect.. and free food and board to any friends who visit so that makes it an even better vacation destination. :) ))

  • @richlyblest - you should totally do that one day this summer.. i know the girls would love it. and what is it winnie the pooh always says, “you’re braver than you think!” ;) so once you made the first trip you’d feel like a pro and do it more often. and yes! it was cold way too long and there is still that bit of shock to actually not have layers on and barefeet. i told myself back in winter i wasn’t going to complain one single time about the heat, well.. the other day i got in the van and i was like, “man, it is so ho… nice in here!!” ;) )) everyone loves spring/summer, but i think northerner’s love it most because we appreciate it more! happy weekend sweet friend.

  • @Byers7 - so good to hear from you, friend.. it’s been too long. :) ) yes, reese is getting so big, as she likes reminding me when i say things like, “love you baby.” “i not baby,” she corrects, “i a big girl.” :)

  • hey, hey, you never know….you just might find a weary straggler on your door step ;)

  • peaceful… beautiful… wow. what is your downton abbey book about? looks good!

  • @chambray7 - ANYTIME! i would love it.

  • @baileyandme - haha! well.. confession. that’s actually a book i bought my mom for her birthday and have yet to mail it. {if you’re reading this mom – happy birthday!!} ;) ) but i’ve been dying to get a better look in it so just decided to take it along and really, i know mom wouldn’t mind. it’s just a big book all about the characters and making the series. the locations and props and thought behind the script. very fascinating! are you a downton fan??

  • Lovely, peaceful sunset pictures!Sounds like an absolutely wonderful day!

  • I need a beach.
I was just thinking what beautiful grandchildren we’ll have when our babies marry each other. ;)

  • wow – beautiful!

  • Oh what a glorious sunset!!! We have yet to see a sunrise or sunset here – just need to take the time to catch one or the other :) I think we must have traded weather cause it’s cold, windy and constant rain for the last two days with more expected all weekend :( Aren’t you so glad you have a beach to go to?? ;) It’s salve to the soul! Happy weekend

  • First of all . . . GASP!!! Reese isn’t a baby any more, she’s a girl!!!!

I’m still around, just not on Xanga much. I need to write you and will. I just got out of the hospital (a 2 week stay, pneumonia, again) and I’m feeling pretty good.

I need to post so people know I haven’t passed over to the other side!!! LOL xo xo

  • Lovely photos of our Lord’s artistic creation!

  • It is all so LOVELY!! Going to the ocean is one of my favorite things to do… although with three kids I don’t normally pack books and magazines anymore – it’s more like frisbees and sand toys! :) It looks like such a perfect day… a reminder of how big God is! xo

  • Beautiful photos, and I know y’all had an even more beautiful time!  My hubby would especially love the sunset…and take a thousand pics of it!

So glad y’all are getting warm weather – our weather is so fickle, we will be 80 one day, then 40 the next! I’m ready for some HEAT!!

  • GORgeous Photos!

  • @cherylyn_p - i know!! it’s like one day you wake up and your baby is a little girl!! i still feel that way with kate sometimes too! gulp. when i’m having a rough day w/ the younger two all i have to do is look at the older two and i’m reminded in an instant it’s not going to last forever! so sorry you’ve been in the hospital~ would enjoy an update on all that’s been going on with ya. xox

  • @lifeisadance - yes! the books and mag. are usually wishful thinking. sometimes i get to them, sometimes i don’t. on this day it turned out nice because reese ended up laying next to me and falling asleep for a bit~ would love a beach day w/ you and your littles. oh, the fun we’d have!! :) )

  • Better late than never I guess–catching up after a week away. Your photos are gorgeous! So nice to have spring around here, isn’t it? We aren’t very near water, but to come home to everything in bloom was fabulous!

  • Love the pictures. My sister also loves the beach and comes alive there. It’s like a soul-thing with her. I think I would like it more if I could take only one child with me. LOL Hugs.
