Love, Love the pics of your bull-riding! My Daddy made us a manual one from a barrel on 2 cables – loads of fun! I’ve never had the nerve to get on a mechanical bull – looks slippery!
Dan and I are shopping today for a baby shower she is giving tomorrow. The shower is going to be wonderful, as I will get to see my out of town sisters! I can’t wait!!
Y’all have a great weekend!
Sleeping in, for sure! And my oldest daughter’s FIFTEENTH birthday. Whew. She is a precious blessing.
I’m working this weekend (as I do every weekend), so if all goes well, I’ll get all but 3 stops off and be able to sit down with the farmers and other itinerant workers for a dinner (more than likely a bowl of chili or rib appetizer with a huge sweet potato on the side and a bottomless cup of diet Coke)at the Texas Roadhouse bar in Harrisonburg, VA, then be up before dawn to get the last stops off and be home by midday. I have a new driver in training starting next week so, (again, Lord willing) I’ll be home Sundays for at least a month or two.
My kids like to take a bicycle ride Sunday afternoon when the weather’s right, but since the forecast is low 30s with winds gusting to 35 it probably won’t be a kid friendly riding day. We’ll more than likely hang out by the pellet stove in the living room and watch the new fish and maybe pick out some new songs on the guitar. My Gracie’s learning Johnny Cash’s Tennessee Flat Top Box and pretty proud of herself about that.
I never did figure out the mechanical bull, so I was off on my head every time I tried. My wife got a huge kick out of watching me try, though. How long did you manage to hang on?
We are looking forward to just being home ~ and worship on Sunday with fellow believers. and getting to see some of our grandkiddos ~
you crazy girl you! love it. i’m thinking that you were at a cooler superbowl party than i was. i don’t remember bull riding…
our weekend will include…
going to the library
a book club meeting
baking cookies for a memorial service
which means yes. a memorial service to attend.
picking up jared at the airport
hopefully a little extra sleep
and some kick-back time with friends.
happy weekend-ing right back at you!
you look like you may have done the bull riding thing a time or two before that night!! ;O)
weekend happiness?
a long-time girlfriend coming to town!! woohoo!
the hubs having off of work tomorrow.
going to see the youth group’s play.
a clean house. =)
@down_onthefarm-
you don’t ‘remember’ bull riding?! hmmm…that alone could raise suspicions as to what you actually DID do at your super bowl party!!!!
Fun pics:)
We’ll enjoy family pizza night, the boys basketball games and a day in San Fransisco celebrating my dad’s retirement…
Love the weekends~
I’m going to try to survive the cold weekend [high of 29 tomorrow
]. When it’s that cold, all I want to do is hibernate! Also have to give Scott and the boys haircuts tomorrow, which is always a big ordeal (at least it is with Levi, who has only had two haircuts without crying!
Looking forward to spring when I can get outside and work in the yard and do other fun things!
p.s. Your header is absolutely darling!!!
Well I have one day in San Diego. Im just looking forward to one warm day right now. And wearing shorts
I am so easy to please
woohoo, ride em cowgirl. I so love your header. Thanks for sharing your darling ones with us.
I am hoping to be well after sickness all week, especially would like a head that doesn’t hurt! I am supposed to go to SERT training tomorrow “Servant Emergency Response Training”, and it is an all day sort of thing. Help Lord!
I’ve always wanting to go on one of those bull rides!!! Haven’t yet, though. My weekend will include spending time with and giving a music recital to the residents at a retirement home (we don’t do this often enough but always enjoy playing our instruments together…even though it happens only a few times a year) and hosting a gathering to watch a video about witnessing and overcoming the fear of man…complete with dinner! Looking forward to it! Enjoy YOUR weekend with the family.

OH MY…. LOVE THE PICTURES!!! TODAY IS MY WIFE’S BIRTHDAY! We took her to supper with her best friend last night, to night the party begins with the Great Grand kids!!!
How did you get in on the youth group Superbowl party?? You’re not a youth
although you do look young! I do like to watch real bull riding, but think I’d rather ride a mechanical one -looks like fun
I should be busy packing instead of on the computer;) as we’re going to housesit my mom’s place this weekend – we’re gonna hunker down for a very cold weekend while she enjoys sunny Florida. Baseball sign ups are Sat. morning already – feels like we were just in the middle of baseball season.
Hope you have a wonderfully fun weekend

dinner w/ daryl’s siblings. Game night w/ friends. Church. Sleeping in tomorrow, and hopefully a clean house somehow happens somewhere along the way
you look super cute bullriding.
That looks like fun! The kids must have just loved it.
This weekend I’m starting a quilting course. It looks like life is going to be much more homebound than it has so I’ll need something to fill the hours. We’ve held off going to church until Hubby’s through his treatment so Sunday I’ll be home with him…watch a sermon on-line I’m sure. Putter about the house. Make a Sunday Dinner and hope our eldest is free to join us.
Oh yeah girl! Everyone on xanga seems to have had busy, happy weeks. It makes me so happy! My week was also full and happy… so now I’m hoping to sleep and relax over the weekend.
something must be working from your workout because look at those arm muscles!
Looking forward to sleeping in and a lazy weekend
you rode a mechanical bull?!?! that is AMAZING!!! love those pics girlie!
so glad that you’ve been able to enter in with this group of people who love on you and Shayne and the kiddos and lift you guys up. looks like a fun night. we had some great Superbowl nights here when i was growing up…but no bull riding. and you are a pretty looking ‘cowgirl’ i must say
perhaps i should find a cowgirl hat to send your way for next year !!
oh, and i wanted to ask: what is mini fest?
@foreveranoatneygirl_n2Hisown - *snicker* allow me to clarify.
