  • aaaaaaw, that is so nice. :)

  • Bittersweet, right?
    I’m out shopping with Grace!
    Xoxo

  • HA! I have some pictures just like that from our Thanksgiving yesterday. We skyped with my brother, his wife and little boy that are living in Cambodia and my Brother in Thailand. My three year old said it was her favorite part of Thanksgiving!:)

  • Love that pic, so cute. We Skyped with Nick, Alicia, and the boys in Colorado too…passed that computer around the two tables so everyone could chat and visit.

  • I guess technology does connect us better across the miles, but still it’s bittersweet to be that close without a true hug!

  • Good times at Thanksgiving. A big family, even separated by many miles is a wonderful thing that can’t be explained, only appreciated.

  • I love it! Sure makes the distance seem not quite so far.  We used to SKYPE with Bo & Em when they lived in MN, but have never done it with Pam & Will. Not sure why!

  • I am sorry you didn’t get to be with the rest of your family this year. SKYPE sure is a blessing, though, right? I do puppet shows for my grandson on SKYPE! I also read him stories. Hope your turkey was perfect!

  • love that all your dear people were assembled via skype and all their dear people on this side of the computer were able to have these moments of joy together. to bad you couldn’t have like a virtual table that ran between the computer and you could have the dinner together. i love that you are able to be in touch like this. Happy belated Thanksgiving to you my dear friend!

  • Awwww! That will be me at Christmas! :(
I absolutely LOVE being part of a family that is so close.
The only downside is that it’s so hard to be so far away from them!
     xoxo

  • I guess you get to have thanksgiving twice then? Did you end up cooking any big meal to celebrate American Thanksgiving?
My first thought when I saw the picture of your family was, where did all your brothers’ girl friends come from all the sudden but then realized your older brother has older daughters :)
    xoxo

  • as much as i love food (which is just about as much as i love to talk.teehee.) and holiday food especially… it really is the people. precious family and friends who i want. need. and there’s an incompleteness, (isn’t there?) when celebrating without them. big hugs.

  • Sniff, Sniff – but then I had to laugh at their great smiles and to see all the JOY in that little frame.. yeah I can see why they are your favorite.

  • man, i like you. and your blog. and your workd & pictures.
    thanks for who you are.
i loved your christmas tree post : )
    happy thanksgiving …

  • @redladybug18 - yes, it’s great.. to get thanksgiving TWICE!! :) ) and i did end up doing a full fledged thanksgiving meal for us here last week. i did have to call my mom and have her on speaker phone while she talked me through prepping the turkey.. but that was fun to kinda feel like we were cooking together, even from 800 miles away! later i thought i should have skyped her. that would have been even more like cooking together.. we’ll have to try that sometime. haha about my brothers.. yeah, that’s scott’s daughters. nate and danny are still single. :) )

  • @down_onthefarm - so true! holidays are about THE PEOPLE!!! {miss you}
